Disappointing Finish to 2020 Season

Grant Parr and team traveled to East Lincoln Motor Speedway to compete in Thanksgiving Thunder with the Thunder Bomber.

On Friday, Grant would win the first heat race after starting on the outside of the front row. This would set Grant to start on the inside pole of Saturday’s main event.

Grant fell back to second on the initial start of the main event, but would stay close to the leader. A few laps into the main event, a lap car would interfere with the leaders, and Grant would make contact with the lap car resulting in a caution.

The rest of the race was filled with cautions with no more than a couple green flag laps at a time. Grant’s night would come to an end with a broken ball joint ending any hopes of a win.

The 48 car showed a lot of speed during the first trip to East Lincoln, and was in contention all the way until a parts failure. It was a disappointing way to end the season, but the team is already preparing the car for the 2021 season.

The 48 Thunder Bomber will be back in action Saturday, January 9, 2021 at Cherokee Speedway.
